The much awaited results of 3G auctions in India are announced now. Lets take a look at what has happened.
India’s leading operator Bharti Airtel continued their winning streak by acquiring 3G rights in 13 circles with a cost of Rs 12,295 crores. Vodafone bagged Gujarat, Delhi and Mumbai where it has more than 15 millions 2G subscribers.
The smartest bidding strategy was from Idea by winning tights for 11 circles. Surprisingly Etisalat and S Tel haven’t won any rights for 3 G services in India.

Apart from the names mentioned above BSNL and MTNL are not listed because they are already offering 3G services.
