When I was working with Google GIS Team Hyderabad division 2 months back, we were requested to use the new look of Orkut and provide the feedback and suggestions, many applications were received and many things were improved before the official launch of new look of Orkut. Now its officially launched to users worldwide on December 3rd, 2009 to some selected users and communities.

Google promises that new Orkut will run faster than the older version, has Video Chat in Google Chat and many others features as that we have in facebook and twitter. Those were the major which I got them on my mouth but there are lot of them which you can check out on my blog post here.  Said to be the biggest upgrade version of Orkut since it launch in 2004. Google Official blog has also made this announced when they gaveaway some invitation to some lucky users. So its Big “G” in the process of making Orkut a big “O”.

The new look of orkut is not launched to all members, you need to get invitation from your friends who is been already using the new look of it, I don’t know how the chain began. I got invitation from my friends who is still working at Google GIS Team Hyderabad. Each time when your friends invite you for having a try with new Orkut you will get 20 invitations to be sent to your friends. I have never invited any people and so I still have 20 invitations left with me. If you wanna have a try with the new look of Orkut them do add your Orkut email ID to me in comment here.
