Oracle sues Google over Java use in Android

In a surprising move, Oracle charged on Google by filing a lawsuit stating that Android phone softwares infringes Oracle patents and copyrights related to Java.

In press release Oracle spokeswoman Karen Tillman said  “In developing Android, Google knowingly, directly and repeatedly infringed Oracle’s Java related intellectual property.”

The lawsuit also states that Google willfully hired some of Sun’s Java engineers for the work. However there is comment from Google on this lawsuit. Google Android is enjoying a good market share in the recent times.

So is it true that Google used patent belonged to Oracle?
