Yes, Now Illiterate people too can access computer easily

Call it as an inspiration of ‘Rancho’ from the movie ’3 idiots’ or her self inspiration and hard work, a software engineer designed a software that makes computer easily accessible by illiterate people too.

Indrani Medhi has developed text free user interfaces that allows any illiterate human to help him/her finding a job, perform banking transaction, get medical information, mapping directions with almost no assistance.

Indrani’s designed four computer applications- job search, health information, integrated map and net banking.

So you might be wondering how is this possible. Let me show one example of the application of its working. The job search application uses the symbols to denote the kind of jobs the people are looking for i.e., there is no need for text reading or any formal education since an illiterate too can easily understand once the symbol is before him/her.

There are lot of graphics, hand drawn style icons, voice annotations in local language, help features.
