As most of you might be aware of the fact that the validity of your passport is for 10 years. So what after your passport is expired ie., its 10 years old?
As Indian Government rules governs you need to renewal you passport after 10 years. The Passport Renewal procedure in India is a simple and easy job.
The procedure for the renewal of your passport is same as that of applying for a new passport. To Renewal you need to fill the passport application form which is same for new passport application form and submit it in nearest regional passport office along with the following documents.
The following documents are required for the renewal of passport:-
- Fill the Passport application form
- Two latest passport size photographs
- Old Passport
- Address Proof
- Educational qualification certificates photocopy
- Date of Birth proof
The fees for renewal of existing passport is Rs 1000/- and if you want to renewal it through tatkal is Rs 1500/-. The fees can be paid through Demand Draft in the name of the passport officer concerned or through cash. The Passport will be delivered to the application on his address mentioned in the application form through courier.
