How to get GIS job in Hyderabad

Getting a job right now in the market is like winning a lottery. There is lots more fatty population adding to the unemployment in India and this World Economy Crisis has added more ratio under the unemployment people. Although there isn’t much opportunities but recruitment is continuous process which never ends. One such good opportunity is in Hyderabad which doesn’t show up in many newspaper is here in blog post(continue reading the post).
There is always opening for Google GIS process through different consultancies in Hyderabad. Google, started updating their brand product Google Maps and Google Earth around 2 year back in order to present a better mapping solution and to prepare to real time maps online for the users. They started the operation with few staff members at Mountain View Office. They they eventually shifted the full operation in Hyderabad and hired constantly employees and lastly they formed a big team around 700 pupils working 7 days a week in two shifts namely weekend ans weekdays but the back end work still operating from their Head Office at California.
The work is very simple and easy. The basic of Google behind hiring such a huge team in Google (the biggest team behind a project) on how to provide a better mapping solution to users. Their utmost priority is United States as people there more rely on Google Maps.
Basically this is not a permanent job from Google and Google has not relation with the employee. All the relation of employee are with the consultancies which hired you and Google is just your client. Your respective consultancies are your employer. The workspace is located in Madhapur very near to Google Hyderabad Office in Hyderabad.
The company hires people from three different consultancies in Hyderabad.
While Rofous ask for a 9 months depending on the requirements the other two doesn’t ask. Ma Foi and Kelly are the two big consultancies in the world which has given this contract to hire people for Google GIS. If you want to apply for the job then approach any of the three consultancies and inquire about the openings further more in detail.
The process for the recruitment has different rounds which are needed to be cleared. All graduates (Freshers and experienced) can apply and their pay would wary accordingly. Remind you that there is different pay scale from different consultancies and your pay depends on consultancies not on to your Client (the Big G).
Latest Update: The Team has updated complete US Maps now and its available live now to the use of people. Presently the work of Canada improved maps is going on.

Ya i feel really it’s true.But not all the consultancies are like that Just kelly services is the only organisation which completes fast process but sometimes these people also don’t care and even don’t call for interview if they call they will complete the process soon and please i also suggest u people to not to go to rofous it simply kills time and takes about three months of time for recruiting .they simply conduct rounds of interviews and ask silly silly questons rather than asking subject related questions and kill time.

WHAT IS THE USE OF THESE CONSULTANCIES THEY EAT HALF SALARY OF THE EMPLOYEE AND KILL TIME UPTO 2 MONTHS IN RECRUITING PROCESS AND THEY DON’T HIRE PERSONS WHO HAVE SPECIALISATION WITH A GIS BACKGROUND EASILY RATHER THEY TREAT EVEN THOSE PEOPLE AS MBA MCA TECH PEOPLE AND TAKE A LONG PROCESS AND COME UNTIL LAST ROUND ANF FINALLY KICK OFF SAYING THAT U ARE NOT QUALIFIED IN LAST ROUND OR THEY SIMPLY SAY WE WILL CALL U.THEY CONDUCT TESTS AND GET BENEFITTED FROM GOOGLE SHOWING THE DATA THAT THESE MANY PERSONS HAVE ATTENDED THE INTERVIEW AND THEY COLLECT THEIR MONEY BUT WE ARE FOOLS WHO GO REGULARLY TO THESE CONSULTANCIES JUST BECAUSE THERE IS AN OPPURTUNITY FOR US TO WORK IN A WORLD CLASS COMPANY WASTING LOTS OF TIME NEARLY 1 TO 2 MONTHS AND WHO ARE BENEFITTING IN BETWEEN , JUST THE CONSULTANCIES WHO CONDUCT FAKE TESTS USING A WHITE PAPER AND THEY SUBMIT OUR PROFILES TO GOOGLE STATING THAT THEY HAVE REALLY CONDUCTED TESTS AND ASK JUST GIVE OUR MONEY WE HAVE CONDUCTED TESTS FOR SO MANY PEOPLE TO HIRE QUALITY ONES BUT UNFORTUNATELY PERSONS HAVING SAME SPECIALIZATION ARE NOT GETTING JOBS RATHER JUST BY REFERENCE JOBS ARE BEING GIVEN AWAY TO MOST OF THE PEOPLE.HELL WITH SUCH CONSULTANCIES WHO WASTE STUDENT’S TIME AND MONEY.I WOULD GIVE U ALL PEOPLE A FRIENDLY ADVICE JUST COMPLETE A GOOD COURSE SITTING IN HOME RATHER THAN GOING TO THESE CONSULTANCIES AND LEAD A GOOD LIFE RATHER THAN DOING THIS TEMPORARY JOB
Thanks Suresh for adding such a truthful comment. Yes that job is temporary and serves no purpose but people just want money out of any job. The problem in India is not unemployment, its the student who has no practical skills and ability to pass even the easy interview process.
Hello Yogesh I agree with u but how can u say that student has no practical skills, arey yaar who is testing their practical skills and u say it’s an easy interview process , if it is so easy then why people don’t get selected even though they are so intelligent.
I have practically seen so many people being kicked off who really prepared well for the interview wasting nearly 2-3 months for their whole process in various consultancies.These persons are really mad who have wasted their time just because they love google and they think that they have got atleast an opportunity to attend the interview.But really as the above statement given by suresh is also true and the benefitters are consultancies.I have seen various friends of mine who have come in search of job to hyderabad from remote areas and towns and they live in rooms and they don’t even spend a penny wastely but they have spent for the whole bus charges for attending the interview and have wasted lots of time nearly three months in their life.Do u know the value of time?
Hi I am Rahul and I was stunned to see this blog.Just because Google is such a big organisation and I am really surprised to know that google recruits in this way also.If we see the Google inc’s webpage we can see the following statement
“To all recruitment agencies: Google does not accept agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias, Google employees or any other company location. Google is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes”
Ok now it is clear that either google employees at hyderabad are keeping links with these consultancies to eat away the remaining half salary of employee or the consultancies are eating away as all the persons above are saying about.
And the secoond thing is that does google interview for 2-3 months?
Not really these consultancies are playing a big drama to show off that they are giving an opportunity for u people to work in google
but oh my God one to two months is not less time guys.If you persons can really dedicate such a time It’s your wish.
People who are selected are lucky and who are not selected get disappointed surely.
But finally I want to leave a statement that Just by working in google from these consultancies doesn,t make you all people google employees and you all are big VENDORS IN GOOGLE Ha ha ha and I don’t know if google really goes through its policies or not and i am really worried about it.
Hi everyone out here….I want to share my experience about attending the Google maps interview through one of the idiotic consultancy called “Rofous Software private Limited”. This is actually a consultancy but it claims to be a software company always, doing nothing software kinda job but conducting these interview process and hurting people.I was the one who got through all its rounds and after writing the client Written exam well,the next day i got a call that i got rejected.I missed many of my other software classes which i took before attending this interview for preparing well and attending its rounds again and again hopin 2 get thru…First round was JAM then Written exam then Personal round then something called Orentation class..n den ur called for the client interview n gets rejected…its really frustrating..I wasted nearly one n and half month expecting that i will be selected. The rounds were so easy that u cant think u will b kicked off!! M actually a B.tech Computer Science fresher..N i jst attended this interview lookin for an opportunity to work in a big company like “GOOGLE”. But its really waste to spend time in des consultancies rather than lookin for other good jobs, seriously…May be i was too harsh towards des consultancies, but the Truth is truth!! it depends on how u accept…
There is not much long procedure in the Google GIS Interview.
hi friends me uday looking for a job. recently before 10 days i have attended an interview in rofous for gis process till now i have cleared 4 round in just 10days the comments below are true in my case it was speed process and the way of interview was good.expecting good result for the last round,if any body know how to prepare for the last round plz comment on this blog.

I also appeared for Rofous test twice and during 2nd time i cleared the 4th round also and its been 14 days since we got the call from Rofous about our 4th round results and till now we havent got any call about when our final interview will be held. Its really frustrating and earlier they (at Rofous) used to attend the call but nowadays no body answers the call and now i have really lost the hope.
i wasted my 3 months here in hyderabad. infact i should have opted for some training. I would have added some skills to my resume. i dont know till when bad luck will chase so many students of 2009 batch.

Thanks for letting us know your personal experience but jobs are just like that. Nothing is easy, try calling Rofous, approach them personally and inquire about your job status. You need to push them to forward your CV to Google GIS Team. I just did the same and I passed.
hi chandini this has been experienced by me also but i got call for thrid round after 2 months of my 4th round results were announced, i heard that the company is going to recruite about 900 members i just want to say u to be patient, even my friends sufferd this but at last they got job. it takes some time be patient.

hai , iam santhosh kumar. iam completed three rounds of interview at rofous, and waiting for orientation , those are told me to call u for next round , it is nearly 20 days back, but there is no call , for first two rounds alos iam waiting 15 days , what is it? requirement is there r not ?
That one how could I know, only thing you can do is approach Rofous consultant person.

where rofou ask for 6months bond
Dont work in GOOGLE GIS…….There is no growth in that process…….We can only grow belly with Google provided food but not the career…..Working in a technical support is better than working in Google GIS……..All the best Guys….!

Just call those 3 consultancies and they will let you know. Opening are always there, I am sure of it.

Hi my dear friends I am also facing the same problem from last year sorry from last 2 years. i got selected for google process in Mafoi Consultancy every thing completed on 8th August i selected and received offer letter from Mafoi here i hav 6 months experience i put in that in the verification my ex company gave feed back like he is not standerd in one job permanently then my case was stopped there and i went back to my excompany and made them to send the original feedback to the mafoi again and but still they are asking me to wait what to do tell me my friends

In that case, you better confirm it with Ma Foi Consultancy whats the problem.
mafoi is weaste consaltency am also waiting for job in mafoi lost 4 months ,there are conducted four rounds and am selected but finally there is no job my is weaste and not able to join and encrage such type of consaltencies

i am pavan i too have the same experience , i have cleared all the rounds for the first time and i got call for the final google hr interview in that i have done well and i was confident about the job as i give my interview without any break for 20 to 25 mins. as after two days friends who attendend with me got the call . so i went to rofous as the people said that there was a confusion with the names of the persons as mine and some other persons name and intial as well are same so they told to wait after two weeks they called me and told that u have got rejected. so then i have again attended throu kelly in may i have complede first two rounds and then written the google paper , from then i didnot got any call about my status.
Please dont wate your time……

hai friends,i just qualified in three rounds in the interview which held at GITAM college in vizag.the person told to wait for two days. he said a call or mail will be coming in 2 days..but seeing all ur cmmnts above i am very much confusing.Can i expect cal fr the 4th round…..can anyone tell me the basic pay with the cuttings….plz give me some suggestion…..
The interview took yesterday itself.The person from rofous said that it is nt a consultncy but it MNC company…..does it take long time to get a call fr the interview…i have 59.3%….that’s the main reason about my anxiety…..

we actually hav interviews in our college from google maps on monday and it is an on- campus. so plz suggest me whether i have 2 attend the interview and wat will be the process.
I am not sure what the process and and what the opening are meant for at your On Campus Interview, I just gave here the idea of what does Google GIS jobs contains and what would be the nature of work, if that is the concern then ask me, but how would i know that what is the selection procedure , etc., et.,c since I am not representing Google or any third party. I was a student like you few years ago.

hey guys i got a call for 4th round in rofous……im in a confusion state…ppl say that google GIS experience dsnt have any use….

hi frnds …. after waiting for 3 months got a call from rofous…… there personal interview round over …. only final interview at google remainin ..they said it may be in august ending.. so anxiously waitin for final interview…………………. and to all questions above.. i think the gis process has come to halt at rofous.. presently after ur gis,, they are recruiting for night shift process for google itself…………
hi friends. myself kranthi. i even gone through rofous drive at off-campus, held at githam, vizag. in one day we had completed 3 rounds, and after that with in a day we got a call to attend orientation training at hyd, we were here for it but all of a sudden he had conducted an hr interview and filtered the batch. and the very next day i got a call from them to attend client interview at google. that was great . now waiting for results. so dont think bad about it there are only some cases with people like you. hope u too get a call in short….. all the best………..
