How to Delete a Contact in Gmail

Are you struck on how to delete an email address in Gmail account? or the contact is not using his email address and his contact is dead now or you have contacts of unwanted people and you want to delete them and you want to clear off your old contacts, whatever maybe the reason this tutorial here will help you on how to delete contacts in Gmail.

Follow the below procedure for doing it so -

  • Select the contact which you want to delete. For example I have selected “ariffmahmood” to be deleted.
  • Place the cursor on that contact and you will see a box appeared before your screen as seen in the image.
  • Click on the drop down menu of Video & more.
  • From the drop down menu select Contact details. How to delete a contact in Gmail
  • Then it will take to you to Gmail contacts page. In that click on Delete contact as highlighted in the image below. This will prompt a window before your screen and will ask for the final confirmation before you delete the contact.

  • Now, when you click on Yes, the contact would be deleted permanently from your gmail and the your work ends here.
