Its the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) who is the first to introduce Mobile WiMax services across India. BSNL has launched their WiMax services in the states of Kerala.

The technology of Mobile WiMAX to BSNL was provided by AVIAT previously Harris Stratex. Claimed to provide a speed of 37 mbps its being deployed in the Kerala region with 900 BTS to cover the entire region in two phases. The first phase would cover all the major cities in Kerala with 450 BTS and the next phase to cover out entire region of Kerala.

To start with it has two plans-
Home Plan: For 512 kbps fixed monthly charge of Rs 999
Business Plan: For 2 Mbps Fixed monthly charge of Rs 1,999

With Mobile WiMAX you can get high speed broadband connectivity for the devices like Desktop, Laptop based on the wireless connection. So be it be mobile or laptop or desktop, you get wireless services for all the devices with a single device.
