Book your rail tickets through Airtel Mobile

India’s largest mobile service provider with over 52 millions customers Airtel India now brings booking of railways tickets through your mobile.

Airtel has added another great feature to Airtel Live which booking of your railway tickets through mobile only for Airtel customers which is very easy and handy to book tickets on your own. Airtel Mobile in association with IRCTC brings you this service through Airtel Live.

Advantages you get:

  • You can book all your railway tickets through your Airtel mobile.
  • The tickets will get delivered to your doorstep of choice within 3 working days.
  • Also you can check the status of your ticket online.

How to book tickets through Airtel?

  • Open Airtel Live portal
  • Proceed and click to Services For You.
  • Under Services For You click on Book Tickets
  • Now click on Book Rail Tickets
  • If you are using it for the first time then you need to register, once registered please login.
  • Choose the date, availability of trains, Departure & arrival stations. Choose your train from the available searches.
  • Pay using your Credit Card and get the tickets delivered to your doorsteps.
  • You can also check the ticket PNR status through PNR enquiry link.

Charges:
Exactly the section you were looking for. Am I right? The charges for booking tickets are levied below:

  • Airtel will charge a booking fee of Rs 7/ticket booked & Rs 3/PNR enquiry and for checking availability. These charges would be deducted from the balance of the prepaid customers and will be a part of bill to the postpaid customers.
  • Also booking through Mobile will includes Rs 40/non AC tickets & Rs 60/AC tickets as a delivery fee for delivering the tickets to the desired location. These charges are by IRCTC.
  • Browsing Airtel Live Homepage is free of cost. Navigating to Services For You and further more will be charged at Rs 0.30 for 15 kb that you browse.

    Thanks for posting such a great information on India railways, but I think the main issue with IRCTC is the REFUND.
    The refund policy is very bad, it may take more then 3-4 months even after many followups via emails and even send a written complaint to the GM of Indian Railways.. This is the only drawback, our Govt. should take some action and improve the refund policy so that customer do not face at least refund problem.

      No you can’t buy any tickets from Airtel Site. Airtel Site is no way related to booking the customers related tickets.
