This is something which I don’t use constantly on my blog but after seeing the features really I think of installing it in my blog and also you can. ‘Popularity Contest‘ is a wordpress plugin which keeps the track of activity on your blog by tracking which links are popular and displays a Popularity percentages as shown

Now whats Popularity percentage is calculated and on which factors does it is based ?
Answer: The popularity percentages which are displayed is the rank (popularity) of that post or page relative to other posts and pages on your own blog, in general language this can be called as percentile score share among 100 percent available.
The factors on which ‘Popularity Contest’ is based are page views, cumulative, newer posts, old existing post and others. Your homepage would relatively would be having more popularity than your other blog posts.

I’ve seen this plugin reducing the speed of page loads, and that won’t be tolerated just to show the post popularity, so I had opted to just not use the plugin.
