Indian Mobile Operators Starts Charging for Customer Care Calls

Read this before you call your Customer Care for any assistance or complaint. All the Indian Mobile operators one after the another are charging per call done to them.

Call it as low ARPUs (Average Revenue Per User) or low profits to the mobile operators, all the famous mobile service provider has found a way to make money by a yet again new source. Every call to your Customers Care now you have to pay Rs 0.50 per 3 minutes call.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has not yet approved the mobiles companies request to charges subscribers for their calls to CUSTOMER CARE but still the companies are charging.

Vodafone soon came with a solution to this but not a helpful one though. If you call 111, the IVR will ask you for whether you want to register a complaint or do something else. If its a complaint, the caller will be asked to end the call and register their complaint on 198 which is toll free and charges to 111 are levied as Rs 0.50 for 3 minutes.

Lets see how long would this be continued as the customers I wouldn’t like such kind of stuffs from my provider and many would agree with my statement. I have Airtel and when I called them they are charging the same fees as mentioned by me. Do call your customer care ad check with your provider.
